Moonbloom is an original story, akin to an interactive digital short, with a single overarching narrative: you and a lone fox must find and restore the shattered moon. The vision for this Magic Leap installation is to envelope users in the mixed reality world of Adara and to drive its narrative through intuitive gestures and physical prop interaction. Moonbloom is built for ARKit (iPhone) & Lumin OS (Magic Leap) and pushes the boundaries of existing augmented and mixed reality technology.
Gameplay Prototypes
Sketchpad
As Moonbloom utilizes numerous micro-puzzle challenges throughout the experience, many aspects of the world had to be designed with the intention of having the user interact with it in various ways. Here are some concept sketches and color roughs of characters and props.
Models & Texture
After the chosen design was modeled, I unwrapped the UV’s in Maya. Texture maps were hand-painted in both Mari and Photoshop and applied in Maya.
